Dinner Lab, the world’s largest pop-up supper club is expanding their membership base in Miami. Unlike the current membership, they are creating a new community membership that is free to join and provides access to their dinners and their amazing network of people.  They are currently in 33 states and has been operating in Miami since 2014.  Simply put, they believe in bringing diverse people together over food to create an amazing experience, lasting friendships, and unique memories that can’t be recreated. (I so agree, that’s how I feel about my cooking classes!)

Since becoming type 2 prediabetic myself, I am passionate about sharing what I’ve learned with kids and adults so they can get off medication. Easier than you think. If you know of any organizations, I’ll be happy to discuss giving a cooking demonstration.

Inaugural gourmet culinary experience kicks off with cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a five-course dinner prepared by South Florida’s 15 top chefs and all for a worthy cause. Guests watch and chat to chefs tableside, while enjoying their dinner and all washed down with wine pairings. Proceeds benefit the American Liver Foundation’s efforts to help improve the lives of 30 million people in the U.S. living with liver disease.  I’ve donated my cooking class gift certificate so I hope you’ll win, good luck!

Want to make Dad a Wok Star?  If you live in Miami, now’s your chance because next Thursday, June 12 from 6:30-9:30pm, even inexperienced dads will have a chance to wok up 3 scrumptious dishes paired with wines from different regions in Italy.  This class will be a very intimate and unique event with only 12 guests.

Picture dad when he realizes Wok Star’s easy no recipe approach keep things simple and makes cooking creative and fun. He’ll explore new flavors and learn Asian cutting techniques, how to mix and match vegetables and proteins for quick one-dish dinners with only four seasonings and very little cleanup. SEPTEMBER IS MIAMI SPICE
Hakkasan: We went for their delicious Dim Sum served at lunchtime on weekends!  A little tip: mention to server at the beginning that you want your dishes to come out staggered so they don’t get cold while you are still working on the previous dish!  Dim Sum should be eaten hot.  The decor is magnificent.  Click here for details.
Zuma: Had lunch with foodie friends.  They did a beautiful presentation but not sure worth $23, desert was outstanding! They are located inside the Epic Hotel so you don’t wander along Biscayne Blvd. like I did. Click here for details.
I’ll be trying Milos and Sushi Samba Dromo.  Do share which restaurants you think are worthy to try or not!

Experience the innovative culinary creations of Chef Ryan Harris at his restaurant, Preservation! Their “Wine Weekdays” menu is an absolute steal, you should definitely go try it and tell Ryan, Wok Star sent you!  My hubby and I were lucky enough to enjoy Chef Ryan’s innovative seven course tasting menu and got a chance to sit and get into his head.  I will be posting about that experience soon.  The food, music, service, atmosphere, decor were faultless!  Ryan asked me to caution that wines and dishes are subject to change due to Eat Preservation and Mas Vino’s extreme imaginations! Love that.  I’ve chosen Preservation to celebrate my birthday dinner, can’t wait to see what surprises Ryan comes up with.
