With 17 years working in corporate as a computer training professional, I understand the corporate environment and designed some unique programs utilizing concepts from my cooking classes. Once executives understand cooking is a creative process and not drudgery, they are hooked. If you’re interested in discussing an event with me, please fill in the form below.
Unlike other cooking events which are temporary experiences and provide no tools to accomplish what they learned, my Cook Like a Wok Star events challenge executives with learning cooking skills WITHOUT recipes or measuring and using my Wok Star Starter Kit System so their success is guaranteed.
Some examples of a variety of businesses and organizations I’ve produced events for…
– team building for Christian Dior (see testimonial below)
– marketing program for Morgan Stanley (see testimonial below)
– team building for BOFFI Miami and Listone Giordano (see photo below)
– cooking competition for cruise wine buyers for Revana Winery
– spousal program while husbands attend a conference
– staff wellness program for Humana
– summer camp program for diabetic kids
After a quick demonstration, your group will be divided into two teams for an interactive and fun wok cooking challenge.
Cooking together improves communication and leadership skills AND team members learn to be creative under pressure, a little competition is healthy.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
My easy, healthy, fast and creative approach to weeknight dinners together with my WOK STAR STARTER KIT will inspire staff to cook and eat healthy AND give them the tools to accomplish it. Healthy staff means lower insurance premiums and the motivation to keep doing it.
Other programs include…
Give staff a unique life changing gift that’s also fun.
Minimum or maximum requirement is 12 participants.
This is the magic number of people I can handle so everyone can see and interact comfortably. Anything above that number requires audio visual and extra staff which I am not interested in producing. However, I am open to suggestions, please fill in form below so we can discuss.[si-contact-form form=’4′]
As a former computer training professional, my expertise was in simplifying topics and presenting them in a way that appeals to all audiences.
As a former events coordinator and public relations for Fisher Island Philanthropic Fund, I’m detailed and procedure oriented, dealing with high worth individuals.
As a TV program coordinator, I worked under pressure to put over 200 1/2 hour TV shows together.
My class was voted Top Five Cooking Classes in Miami by New Times and Miami Herald Business Monday wrote a centerpiece feature about my business. I’ve been mentioned in Saveur’s Miami City Guide and chosen for top 16 dating ideas in Thrillist. I’ve appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, PlumTV and Chat Chow TV as well as giving cooking presentations at large Food and Wine Festivals like Coconut Grove Art Festival.
I’ve received countless testimonials (see below) from people who say my wok cooking class changed their entire approach to cooking and eating — the best compliment I could ever ask for!
“My team was scheduled to come to Miami for our annual budget meetings and instead of taking them out to a nice dinner, which is exactly what they’re used to, I wanted to do something that would motivate everyone, convey my appreciation for their hard work and further build bonds within the group. After scouring Miami for different alternatives, it became clear that an evening with the Wok Star was our best choice. Eleanor was energetic, willing to work with a tight schedule, motivating, and gave us an evening unlike anything the team had done before. The fact that everyone learned something – and was able to take home a complete kit to practice what they learned was icing on the cake. Needless to say, word around the office traveled quickly; the next morning all of our other departments were saying they wanted to do the same!” Nathan Ellingson, Export – Latin America, Parfums Christian Dior
“I hosted an event with the Wok Star—Women, Wealth, and Wok. Eleanor and I thought that it would be a great way to bring together professional women and teach them ways how to have a healthy financial life and be able to prepare a healthy, quick meal that fits into their busy lifestyles.
Eleanor was a wonderful teacher with an incredible memory for names, faces, and occupations. Each person felt comfortable and excited right away! All the feedback reflected exactly what we set out to accomplish, a new way of educating people on two important aspects of their daily lives, cooking and finances. Rather than invite people to lunch or dinner in a typical restaurant, each attendee was excited by this new, creative, and hands on experience! She really Wok’ed it!” Rachel Baum, Financial Advisor , The Faro Group, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management
